The Rotary Club of Cohasset is part of Rotary International which is a fellowship organization whose motto is "Service Above Self".  We raise money to support Education, Health, clean Water and Peace, and we spend service time fulfilling those missions.  The Cohasset club raises on average $50,000 per year and about 50% goes into the Cohasset School District supporting their students with scholarships, dictionaries for every third grader, funding for special programing which has included the African arts program for sixth graders, etc.  We have donated over $500,000 in scholarship money to Cohasset graduates!  Every year we sponsor students to attend RYLA (Rotary Youth Leadership Association) and last year we paid for five student to go for three days on the Cape.

We feel teaching youth to serve is key to world peace and donate to the Appalachian Service Project helping students to make total strangers' homes warmer and safer.  Diane Herth has gone to Appalachia for numerous years to help rebuild the homes and Wayne Robbins goes to Honduras every year on a mission trip.  Rotarian Trish Morse drives senior citizens to town sponsored lunches and doctor appointments/grocery shopping, as well as is the founding director of Working Dog Foundation.  As a club we sponsor the Cohasset Boy Scout troop and give financial support to every high student working on his Eagle Scout.   The Cohasset Club has funded and sent four members to install 100 water filtration systems in the Dominican Republic.

Annually we send Cohasset high school students to RYLA leadership training, and our dream is to start an Interact Club for the high school students to join and begin serving others with the support of a faculty Rotarian as their advisor.
