Wayne Robbins arrived at Rotary this evening to share a Rotary Moment during our Rotarian Spotlight . Little did he know his family, friends and past Rotary member were waiting to celebrate FIFTY YEARS as a Rotarian in Cohasset, MA! Members came up and told stories of Wayne and presented him with awards for his 50 years of Service Above Self. 

Congratulations Wayne Robbins!
- Born in 1937 grew up in Scituate and Cohasset
- Owned boat yard where kids jump off the bridge
- Roots are set here
- Auto race fan
- Went to Scituate schools until 8th grade then the VoTech in Weymouth
- Had his first car at 13 years old and payed $25
- Early 50's worked for Hassan's, a car shop
- Joined service and National Guard for 6 years
- Believes everyone should spend time in service
- Good Ford in Hingham
- Opened his own car shop at 21
- Leased a gas station at Assinippi
- Purchased garage on North Main St in 1965
- His cousin was his first full-time employee
- Feels blessed and as though he's still learning
- Has been to Daytona 30 times
- Has no regrets and wouldn't do anything over differently
- Has been a Rotarian for 50 years
- Considers Rotary a mindset - of service
- Has been to Honduras 5 times (50% unemployment), building churches, clinics and schools

Trish read a beautiful letter to Wayne from Pastor Steven McDonald congratulating him on 50 years of service
Wayne Sawchuk shared anecdotal stories about Wayne and presented a Paul Harris Fellowship Award.
